Produced jointly by Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment and distributed worldwide by Universal Pictures, the animated film The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has officially set its release date—it will blast into North American theaters on April 3, 2026, with Japan following suit on April 24.
As the official sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, the film carries on the whimsical adventure style of its predecessor. Mario and Luigi will step into the vast starry sky for the first time, embarking on an epic intergalactic rescue mission. The original voice cast returns in full force, with Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Brie Larson and more lending their voices to the beloved characters.
